We have experience renovating older homes.  We like to take an old home and freshen it up for a modern living.  We try and retain the best of what is old while making the house comfortable for modern families.

For example, this house was unlived in for several years, and there had been a lot of "re-muddles" - bad remodeling jobs.  We took the bad tub surround out, found a great cast iron claw-foot tub, and redid the bathroom around it. The floor was so rotten, we had to replace it, giving us the opportunity to run water lines for an upstairs laundry.

Sometimes you get a project that has a good roof.  And, sometimes you get one that needs to be totally stripped down to the rafters.  First comes the plywood, then the new shingles.

When we got this house, there had been years of neglect.  The plaster was shot (as you can see with the heavy "cake-frosting" plaster job done near the fireplace), but the trim and fireplace were salvageable, as was the floor.  We turned an old dark and dreary house into a cheerful and bright home, while salveaging as many historic pieces as possible.
